Power DC (PDC) is a privately held company based in Melbourne Australia.

Established in 1986, PDC began as local distributor of primary batteries and quickly grew into a national distributor with representation in every state.

 

In 1992, PDC was awarded exclusive Australian distribution rights for TOSHIBA batteries.

Sixteen years later, we have not only retained these rights by virtue of our sales, marketing and distribution expertise, but have demonstrated a sense of integrity and professionalism that has earned us a place among Toshiba’s most valued distributors.

 

We also represent other brand name battery manufacturers such as Panasonic, Duracell and Energizer. These relationships, also spanning more than ten years, further testify to our success as a reliable and trustworthy source for primary batteries Australia wide.

 

Seeking to fill a gap in the availability of high quality, low cost general-purpose batteries in the Australian marketplace, PDC visited battery manufacturers in China and assessed product quality, consistency and production reliability.

 

In 2002, having found a manufacturer who satisfied these requirements, PDC entered into an Australian sole agency relationship with Camelion Battery Company. Furthermore, we have contracted for batteries manufactured according to our own specifications, under the brand name ULTRACHARGE.

 

These brands are built to PDC own high standards, ensuring product quality, consistency and production reliability combine in a product range that offers high quality at a low price.

 

In addition to batteries, PDC is a major supplier to the retail Photographic Industry by virtue of having acquired distribution rights for Kodak film and single-use cameras, as well as Polaroid film and instamatic cameras.

 

We have also extended our range with the introduction of audio speakers, headphones and innovative new products under our own brand X-TIME.

 

Other brand name manufacturers of consumer goods with which PDC has agency relationships include A-DATA, Gillette, BIC, TDK and Ansell.

 

In 2006, Power DC was given the rights to distribute the entire Philips Media range.

 

Internationally PDC utilizes its warehousing and distribution expertise to consolidate containers (full or half) for shipment to overseas battery importers/distributors.

 

As the exclusive distributor for both Toshiba and Camelion batteries, PDC’s volume commitments enable a pricing structure

extraordinarily competitive in global markets.
