Giant started in 1972 with one goal: Create a better cycling experience for people around the world.

The founders of Giant were craftsmen and engineers. They understood their strengths. So to make cycling more enjoyable and accessible to people around the world, they did what they knew best. They set out to improve the cycling experience by following three guiding principles: craftsmanship, innovation and inspiration.

It began with lightweight aluminum frames. Giant’s ability to produce high-quality bikes at an affordable price allowed more riders to experience cycling in a whole new way. Since then, Giant has pioneered advancements in both aluminum and composite engineering. We introduced the first affordable carbon fiber bike, the Cadex 980 C, and transformed high-performance road bikes with our Total Compact Road design. In mountain biking, Giant’s Maestro Suspension established a new level of performance for off-road riding and racing.

Over the last four decades, Giant has grown well beyond its manufacturing roots to become the world’s leading brand of quality bicycles and gear. With more than 12,000 retail partners worldwide, we aim to inspire adventure in all riders, from casual to competitive.

Our goal is to support all levels of cyclist with the highest quality products for both fun and high performance. Currently our main distribution brand is RUBENA a.s. who produce top quality tyres and tubes for all cycling disciplines. Rubena have been working with performance rubber for more than 85 years. Pro Cycling Imports are currently participating in the development of new compounds and tread designs specifically for cycling in Australian conditions.

All our Rubena products are thoroughly tested by top Australian cyclists in Australia’s toughest conditions well before they reach the general public.

To make a career out of our passion - a dream that become reality for us, Klaus Moehwald and Uwe Kalliwoda that is, in 1993. As things turned out, a well made decision because our small backyard shop has long since become a global player.
 
We designed our first bicycles in Waldsassen, Northern Bavaria. Since the early days we were driven to always set newstandards with our products and to always be a touch better. One year later our product range was rather small, but the source of our company's pride.
 
Bicycles engineered to the most minute detail, equipped with the most innovative technology and most importantly - built with our heart's passion. Following the first presentation at Eurobike, we had proof: It paid off not to make any compromises when it comes to quality and safety. The demand was astounding, and our sales and distribution network was built and constantly expanded.
 
Of course, our team grew as well. Each member of the GHOST team contributes unique ideas, possesses individual personality and is a lateral thinker. But we have one thing in common: Our love for the bicycle. GHOST stands for uncompromising quality, highest safety standards and most innovative technology - an unrivalled fair value for the money. Our GHOST heroes prove it: In 2008 riding her GHOST, team leader Sabine Spitz won the Olympic Gold Medal in the Cross Country event in Beijing.

Charles Purton Imports had its beginning as Phillips Cycles and Toys in 1957 established by our current managing directors father, Mr. William Morris Purton Phillips. The import distribution business traded as WMPPhillips at that time. The company underwent a metamorphosis in name in 1979 when our current managing Director Mr. William Charles Phillips joined the business. To distinguish and make a more distinguishable difference between the Imports distribution business from the then retail business, a combination of father and sons second and third names resulted in a renamed entity; Charles Purton Imports. The Phillips family name still plays a major role within the company today. Phillips bicycles, tricycles, scooters and unicycles are one of the major brands that the company distributes throughout Australia and around the world. The Phillips brand has provided many generations, an introduction to cycling fun. CPI has continued to build on its strong base of cycle parts and accessories, operating a world wide sourcing policy, aiming to bring the bicycle user in Australia the world's best brands.
